Excellent! well done on a morale boosting win. I have heard lots of rumours about Blackie-some may be true but I just think that if Geoff isn't keen on picking him he must have a good reason. Number 3 a real problem but I wouldn't move Colly to 3 because he is not suited to batting there-neither is Benks. I know very little about batting but assume players who have spent their careers in the middle-order can't just move to 3 regardless of how good they are.

Mark, you must have your head in the sand if you believe theres been no problem between Blackwell and Cook. I agree that Colly should move from 6 and take more responsibility.

we've had people criticising the england cricket team on here today yet defending a top order batsman with an average of 9.45. couldnt make it up.

i'm no cricket expert and lads on here have watched durham a lot longer than me, but you dont need to be a genius to work out he's the weakest link time and time again in the team

Imo the problem has been all the rumours about why Blackie has not been playing. I suppose it's perfectly possible that there are no problems at all and he as simply been injured. If that's the case he certainly should be brought back. I just think that Geoff has very good reasons for the decisions he makes and probably equally good reasons for not always going public with the reasons. He's an excellent coach so I'm sure he thinks very carefully about who should and shouldn't play.

Chris, I dont think there will be any more Q and A's if Martin Emmerson is leaving. Surely Geoff wants to bring him back ultimatley, if he wanted to freeze Balckie out all together then why pick him in this match and make it hard for himself?
