Yeah, the weather played its part a bit - but batting points are only a smallish contributing factor... 2 extra wins would have been 32 more points - plus the batting points we'd have picked up in the process. Anyway - hopefully we're safe and can start planning for next season!

to be fair he's come into a bowler friendly season all over the country - difficult to judge his batting in such circumstances

Would be nice, wouldn't it? I'm not expecting it to be a walk in the park, but we should have time on our side (weather permitting) so hopefully all will go OK!
