True Parky :-) We'll just have to see how the first 2 innings play out. We've got a top class seam attck and Lancs batting is fragile so early wickets might be just down to those factors and the pitch is fine.

Difference here imo is this pitch has been consistently awful for a long time. Perhaps it is fine and just a case of excellent bowling. Time will tell.

If it is another shocking pitch surely a points deduction is on the cards? Especially after all the low scoring games there lasy year and with Lancs suddenly deciding to move this game from Old Trafford?

With Colly in the team we have one of the best players of spin around. Will always remember his double century vs Warne in Perth, in a match where the rest of the England batsmen were falling like flies.

It's a nice little ground (I went back for Lancs-Warwicks a month later) a couple of minutes walk from the promenade - recommended way to spend the lunch break

Brian T - Depends on big your lens is and what you intend to do with them. I've never had any trouble. I think as long as you tell the club its okay. Durham were great

I know that Tris, think we're on the same wavelength. In the interest of fairness I must add that although I dislike their cricket team and big city football teams, outside of those cities Lancashire is a beautiful county with nice people and I have spent 3 of my last 4 holidays there. Do you think the cowboy theme of a couple of weeks ago has been twigged yet?

i agree keenas, i dont think mustard is an opener but i thin kdue to jennings age and lack of top level experience geoff may keep him from opening until next year. could be borthwick as well. but with it being a hodge podge out ground im not so sure. we may just see mustard in one day mode and go out and try and get runs on the board quickly, but my preference would be to get jennings some opening experience sooner rather than later

I'd like to see Rocky & Jennings open. Mustard isn't really a four-day opener even though he has done it previously.

i said last night he was dropped, just didnt expect him playing wicket keeper for the 2nds today. good luck to him, he's a nice lad and has been very kind to us in the last year. hope to see him back in form soon
