We couldn't have done anything about the weather or the pitches but we could have used more application - after all, we were losing games despite our fantastic bowling efforts. Conitions were tough for batting but the opposition were playing in the same conditions and they coped.

I must say I think we've missed a trick this season. If Sussex are good enough to come 2nd in the Championship then it highlights how much of an underacheiving season we've had. We're miles better than them, man for man.

Checked BBC and Sky and both are different. The BBC said rain am then fine pm although thats what they said for today. Will open the curtains and see tomorrow who is right

When reading the ECB verdict on Durham's salary cap breach I thought we would start next season with a points bonus! A 2.5 points deduction was the minimum penalty. I wonder if there are other clubs in breach that have not acted as professionally as Durham did? I will watch with interest.

When the awards are handed out for the season, Chris Rushworth must be up there under the 'most improved' category. 54 wickets in all cometitions this season.

Martin E seemed to think we would have it in some form. I rely on it to keep my interest up when I can't get to a game. Even home games are long way from the West of Scotland where I live

Valid comments maidenover. I was also unhappy that I paid £50 for my ticket and then the club did a BOGOF offer during the week before the game. Its unlikely to get me to buy early next time although I do already have my ashes tickets.

Sky when commenting on it not being a sell out said they had had numerous texts re the high cost of tickets as well as other costly events over the summer eg olympics, football season starting which had left people short of money

I hate to put a downer on the praise for Saturday but, where were all the Durham fans? I was there and the ground looked about 80% full and that was after more than half the temporary seating had already been removed. If the Durham public is not prepared to get behind the England games and attend the matches I cannot see the club applying to host many more one day games. I cannot imagine the club did much more than break even on Saturday.

on my way down to the game, looking forward to it. i wasnt at the game on saturday but it seems as though durham ccc have once again provided an excellent day for the paying public, just like they did for the eng vs aus game which was excellent. good luck to the lads today.

Yvette, Can you please congratulate everyone involved in Saturday's internationals. It was a super day, with a great atmosphere and extremely well organised. A pity both games were so one sided.
