Before I go, If Graeme Onions had a central contract with England there might be funds to replace him with a top overseas pro to help out during his absence. As it is we lose him for internationals without the ability to recruit a short term replacement. Good luck Graeme, hope you are in the England team on Friday and stay there. You maybe the best bowler in the world at present.

Brian T - you are right and we can both book mark this. We are far from down and out. We have 9 games to go in the CC and Harker and Leach have a break coming up in which to start making some decisions. It will make it all the more disturbing for their leadership of the club if we are allowed to fall out of the division without so much as a whimper.

Brian T - I'm preturbed that no one seems to want the c captaincy at durham and the position appears to be a poisoned chalice. As for team spirit; TBH I havent a clue whether it is good or bad but one look at the CC table tells you that it must be suffering.

MBH: Don't hold your breath there. Team spirit seemed fine yesterday. If the captain decided he'd had enough and handed over to PC he could then concentrate on what he's best at, (empying the bars and scoring runs). The role seems to be a burden at the moment. Step back and have another go in a couple of years.

via SMS - If Harker and Leach do not make some good and decisive decisions - even if they are unpopular - then Durham will go down. It is evident that changes are needed and they arent being made. If nothing changes off the field, then nothing will change on it and the second half of the season will see Durham down. There is still time but there is no more time for dithering by Harker and Leach who are ultimately responsible for the health of Durham CCC.

A great effort yesterday, team should take great heart form it. One of the more exciting days I've had a cricket match. Two points to make: Did umpires take into consideration the time wasted by Prince in delaying the bowling? Secondly why did the umpire have his back to the play when we had a runout appeal? Looked out to me and most others at the ground. I see the lads were back from their anger management classes yesterday!
