Collingwood awarded Frank Brennan Trophy
Durham and England's Paul Collingwood was awarded the Frank Brennan Trophy at the Sport Newcastle Awards that were held at Newcastle Civic Centre on Monday night.
With Paul away on England duty in Bangladesh, Durham CCC Head Coach Geoff Cook picked up the award on his behalf. With Durham CCC winning the trophy in 2008 and 2009, it's the third successive year that RIverside has been home to the award!
Paul won the accolade, an award for sporting excellence, in recognition of becoming the most capped ODI player for England as well as his role as International Twenty20 captain and his contribution to England's Ashes victory in the summer.
