Durham duo strike for Lions
Durham seamers Stephen Harmison and Graham Onions each claimed a wicket in the first eleven overs of England Lions clash against the Australians at Worcester’s New Road ground as they look to demonstrate their form ahead of this summer’s Ashes series.
Harmison picked up the scalp of Aussie dangerman Philip Hughes for just 7, with Joe Denly claiming the catch.
Graham Onions sent captain Ricky Ponting back to the pavilion with just one run to his name after edging a delivery to Vikram Solanki at slip.
The dismissals leave former Durham overseas player Simon Katich and 2005 captain Mike Hussey at the crease and Australia 25-2.
