Mustard Suffers Broken Nose

Durham's Phil Mustard is today recovering after a very unfortunate net incident in New Zealand which resulted in a broken nose.

While feeding the bowling machine wicket keeper Mustard got hit by a ball which ricocheted out of another net being used by Kevin Pietersen. Mustard was treated by the present England medical team and then subsequently transferred to a nearby hospital. Mustard will undergo minor surgery on his nose but will be fit to resume his duties as back-up wicketkeeper later this week.
