Phil Mustard will play for Durham’s second eleven in a championship match against Worcestershire that begins on Monday at Darlington (11am start).
The 32-year-old is included in a 12-man squad which also includes Usman Arshad, Ryan Pringle and Jamie Harrison.
Mustard played in the opening five championship games of the season but lost his place for the recent clash with Worcestershire at New Road, which Durham won by six wickets.
However, the talented left-hander remains a fixture of the T20 side and is the county’s leading run scorer in the shortest form of the game, including 151 runs in five outings this summer.
