Match 1 - Durham 2nd XI (152-7) beat Worcestershire 2nd XI (150-5) by three wickets.
Match 2 - Durham 2nd XI (138-9; Hepburn 4-14) beat Worcestershire 2nd XI (136-5; Kervezee 54) by one wicket.
Durham’s second eleven completed a hat-trick of victories over Worcestershire this week although they needed some heroics from Graham Onions to achieve it.
Responding to the visitors 136-5, Durham were on 118 with just one wicket and three overs left in the second T20 game at Chester-le-Street.
Last wicket pairing Ryan Buckley and Onions guided their side towards their target but there was still five runs needed from the final delivery.
Onions rose to the occasion and cleared the boundary, his second during an innings of 15*, as Durham collected two more points.
Earlier in the day, Onions took 2-24 as Worcestershire were restricted to 150-5 in the first T20 match.
Jack Burnham top-scored with 34 from 33 balls although Graham Clark (25 from 14) and Stuart Poynter (29 from 17) made valuable contributions towards Durham’s three wicket win with 10 balls to spare.
The second match was much tighter despite a brisk 44 from Poynter, until a late show from Onions sent the locals home happy.
