Second Eleven Trophy: Lancashire beat Durham by 6 wickets
The Durham Second Eleven travelled to Todmorden to face Lancashire in the Second Eleven Trophy on Tuesday and were beaten by six wickets despite posting 297 in their 50 overs.
Lancashire won the toss and elected to field first. Lee Goddard took the honours of top scorer after posting 66 and captain Gareth Breese added 65 to the total. Fifties from Karl Turner (58) and Will Gidman (55) helped push the total towards the 300 mark.
Kerrigan was the pick of the Lancashire attack, taking 3-49 off his 10 overs.
Lancashire (301-4), whose opening partnership was 125, reached the target set with nine balls to spare with Proctor, who was eventually bowled by Luke Evans, scoring a century. Scott Borthwick picked up the wicket of the second opener and Will Gidman put in a good all round performance claiming 2-55.
