Durham's second eleven coasted to another comfortable victory over Northumberland on Monday.
After a 261-run success the previous day, the hosts reached a modest 196 run target with seven wickets in hand and 44 balls to spare. However, due to player availability issues, the sides were mixed and the likes of Graham Clark and Jamie Harrison represented Northumberland.
Promising young batsman Alasdair Appleby (74) top-scored for the visitors in their total of 195-7, with academy scholar Josh Bousfield taking 3-30 for Durham.
In reply, Harrison opened the bowling and found the edge of Sameet Brar's bat to claim an early wicket.
But an innings of 70 from 18-year-old Jack Burnham, supported by Bousfield (43) and captain Usman Arshad (46*) ensured that the result was never in doubt.
Alastair Maiden's men are next in action on Wednesday, when they begin a three-day friendly contest against Scotland A at Seaton Carew CC.
