Durham will hope to pick up their first win of the new LV= County Championship season when they face high-flying Sussex at Hove on Sunday (11am start)
Jon Lewis' side had to fight hard to secure a draw against Yorkshire after conceding 589 in the first innings. A half-century from Keaton Jennings, who will have fond memories of the game at Sussex last year, helped Durham maintain their unbeaten start to the campaign.
Three successive draws mean Durham currently sit second from bottom in the County Championship table, although they have played a game less than all of the sides above them.
One of those teams is Sussex, who are second in Division One having picked up two wins, a draw and a defeat from their opening four games.
Mark Robinson's side will be without two key players for this fixture. Chris Jordan will not play due to International commitments and Matt Prior's achilles injury is set to rule the 32 year old out until later in the month. Captain Ed Joyce and Matt Machan are set to be available though, after representing Ireland and Scotland respectively.
Joyce's return will be particularly important for the South Coast side, as the left hander has been in fine form. The Sussex skipper scored a century in both innings during the recent win over Warwickshire and is averaging over 90 this season. The experienced Queenslander Steve Magoffin has been the star bowler, with 20 wickets at an average of just 14.
Last season, the men from Hove finished third in the final LV= County Championship table and then re-shuffled their squad in the winter. Monty Panesar, Joe Gatting, Andrew Miller and Amjad Khan all departed, with Steffan Piolet and Jon Lewis brought in.

A word from the home camp:
Paul Collingwood, on Kumar Sangakkara's final game for Durham: “He’s fitted in really well and the boys have really enjoyed having him around. There’s no guarantees a batsman’s going to come in and score runs. Whether he does or not, it’s great to have a guy like him around the dressing room. We’re all on an education.”
