The teams for this weekend’s Newcastle vs Sunderland derby are in!

Paul Collingwood’s testimonial fixture comes to Emirates Riverside this weekend as Kevin Keegan’s Newcastle side take on Peter Reid’s Sunderland.

The 41-year-old, who became Durham’s first T20 centurion against Worcestershire Rapids last month, is preparing to welcome a host of past & present cricketing stars for the match.

Keegan’s side will include ex-England men Graeme Swann, Steve Harmison & Ryan Sidebottom, while the latter’s current Yorkshire team mate Tim Bresnan will play fresh from his record-breaking efforts in the Roses T20 match last week.

Phil Mustard & Gordon Muchall both make a return to Emirates Riverside for the Newcastle side with Max Morley, the ex-2nd XI spinner who appeared on the first series of Love Island.

Current Durham stars Graham Onions & Jack Burnham are also included in the side.

For Reid’s Sunderland, Collingwood will be joined by the likes of Ashley Giles, Liam Plunkett, Jonathan Trott & Keaton Jennings, whose Mum hails from Wearside.

Yorkshire overseas man Shaun Marsh is in line to play while Scott Borthwick & Chris Rushworth will play in their favoured SAFC colours.

The match - sponsored by Infiniti Newcastle and M24Seven - is also supporting and raising funds for the Graham Wylie Foundation that does incredible work to improve the lives of vulnerable children and young people across the region.

This Sunday’s action gets underway 2:30pm with gates open at midday & tickets are available from the Box Office, priced at £10 advance & £15 standard.
