What time do the gates open?
Gates open at 9.00am

What are the scheduled hours of play?
Start: 11.00am
Lunch: 1.00pm– 1.45pm
Tea: 3.40pm – 4pm
Close of play: Scheduled for 6.00pm, although play can be extended if required number of overs have not been bowled or there has been a weather interruption.

Where is the main reception situated?
The main reception is situated in the Don Robson Pavilion between towers 1 and 2.

What is the refund scheme?
For days 1 to 4 of the Investec Test Match:  If play is restricted or does not take place at the ground on the day for which this ticket is valid, you may claim a refund of only the match ticket value subject to there being: (a) 10 overs or less because of adverse weather conditions or completion of the match - a full refund; (b) 10.1 overs to 24.5 overs because of adverse weather conditions or completion of the match - a 50% refund.  In no other circumstances can money be refunded.  In respect of tickets purchased in advance for the day on which this ticket is valid, refunds will be made automatically by Durham County Cricket Club to the original purchaser only, either by refunding his or her debit or credit card or by sending a cheque. In respect of tickets purchased at the Ground on the day for which this ticket is valid, refunds may be claimed by sending this ticket with your name and address in block capitals to DCCC, Emirates Riverside, Chester-le Street, DH3 3QR within 28 days of the Match date.  For refund queries telephone 08444994466. Also visit www.ecb.co.uk/refundscheme. Please allow 30 days from the receipt of the claim for your refund to be processed. ‘This refund policy does not apply to day 5 of Investec Test Matches.

No person who is subject to a life ban imposed and/or recognised by the ICC, the ECB or any other ICC Member as a result of a breach of any applicable ICC, ECB or other ICC Member rules, regulations, codes or directives shall be permitted to enter the ground and any such person found within the ground on the day of the match shall be liable to immediate removal from the ground.

Please note that the use of any cameras, mobile phones, computers and other electronic equipment, for the recording, transmission or communication of match details, statistics, images etc, is not permitted other than with the proper accreditation.  All ground regulations apply.

Day 5: If play takes place, tickets will be sold on the day via Durham County Cricket Club. Please note that no refund policy is applicable on any ticket purchase for Day 5.

Are tickets available to be purchased on the day?
Tickets will be available to purchase on the day from Gate2.

I have tickets to collect, when can I do this?
Tickets will be available for collection from Gate 2 from 9.00am
Is it possible to go out of the ground and come back in?
You are able to walk in and out of the ground via gates 3 and 6. A steward will give you a pass out, please keep this and your match ticket as you will need both of these to regain access.

Is there a cash machine?
Yes there is an ATM machine within Austin’s Bar.

I’ve lost something in the ground, what should I do?
Please report to the main reception for any lost property.

There is a problem with my seat what should I do?
Please contact the nearest steward who will be happy to help you.

Can we bring food and drink into the ground?
Food and non-alcoholic drinks only can be brought into the ground.
No glass packaging or cans please. We do operate a search policy and if these items are found, unfortunately we will have to confiscate them. You may however return these items to your car.

The cup deposit system works very simply, the fan pays an additional £1 deposit with their first drink purchased.  Every subsequent drink will be poured into a clean cup. When the fan has finished drinking, they can either take their cup back to a 'cup refund point', or take their cup home as a souvenir.

Where can I buy a programme/scorecard?
Official programmes and scorecards will be on sale inside the ground at each entrance.

Is smoking allowed?
The Club's No Smoking Policy is as follows - smoking is not allowed in any seats within the stadium. Anyone wishing to smoke will need to go to an uncovered concourse or other open area to the rear of the viewing stands. Smoking is not permitted in any building or in a covered concourse area.

Is car parking available?
Parking at Emirates Riverside is available and priced at £10 and can be purchased online at CAR PARKING or by calling 0844 499 4466. Car parking passes will NOT be sold on the day of the game.

Walking time to Emirates Riverside from red and black car parks is approximately 2 minutes.

Walking time to Emirates Riverside from the yellow car park is approximately 3-5 minutes depending on if you are at the front or back of the car park.

What food / drink is available within the ground?
There are two main food and drink courts, one situated at each side of the ground.
Restaurants in Chester le Street?

There are a number of restaurants and café along Chester le Street Front Street. The Wicket Gate (Weatherspoons) is open from 8am every day where you can get a full English breakfast.

I'm a member of Durham CCC, are there members lounge facilities?

The Members lounge throughout the Test Match will be located in the indoor school. Sandwiches, tea and coffee, bacon sandwiches and beer vouchers will be available. Members can buy vouchers at the regular member’s price. We will however be charging an additional £1 per pint on your first purchase, this is due to our new reusable cup scheme. In the aim to become more environmentally friendly, we will be using green reusable cups that will be able to be used hundreds of times over; this will stop thousands of disposable plastic cups going to landfill where they take hundreds of years to biodegrade.

How do I travel to the ground?

By Car
Parking at Emirates Riverside is priced at £10 and can be purchased online at CAR PARKING or by calling 0844 499 4466. Car parking passes will NOT be sold on the day of the game.

By Car - Park & Ride (Days 1 – 3 ONLY)
Durham CCC is operating a Park & Ride service for this match which is located at the LAMBTON ESTATES post code DH3 4PQ.

The cost of the Park and Ride service is £4 per car. This can be booked through the Box Office on 0844 499 4466. Alternative passes are available on the day at the park and ride site.

Please follow the yellow and black signs:
• From A1(M) leave at junction 64.
• From A19 leave at A183 junction.
• From A167 follow signs via A183.
The Park & Ride will open at 8.00am and buses will run until 11.30am and resume 30 minutes prior to the close of play or at the abandonment of the game.

By Public Transport

Bus
Chester-le-Street can be accessed via a number of bus routes such as:
• From Newcastle and Gateshead every 10 minutes on Angel services 21
• From Bishop Auckland and Durham every 30 minutes on Angel service 21

Train
A number of trains stop at Chester-le-Street station. This is the closest station to the ground and is around a twenty minute walk from Emirates Riverside via a clearly signposted route.

A more extensive service operates to Durham station from where Durham CCC will operate a shuttle bus service. The shuttle bus service will operate from 8.00am, until 11.30am. A return service will operate 30 minutes prior to the close of play or at the abandonment of the game.

The cost for this service is £2.00 per single journey and is paid for on the shuttle bus on the day, you do not need to book in advance.

Trains stopping at Chester le Street

Durham CCC have met with the train operators and negotiated some extra train stops at Chester-le-Street for all days of the Test Match.  As soon as the exact timetable is finalised it will be published on the Club website.     
    
Other modes of transport

Drop-off and Pick-up Point - Emirates Riverside has a designated drop-off and pick-up point for all cars and taxis.

A road closure will be in place on B1284 Rotary Way immediately play finishes. It is advisable for vehicles to be at the pick-up point approximately 15 minutes before close of play. All vehicles must turn left when exiting from the pick-up point and follow the diversion signs.

Walking
There is a signed pedestrian route from Chester-le-Street town centre and railway station to Emirates Riverside.

Walking time from Chester-le-Street town centre to Emirates Riverside is approximately 15 minutes, and from the railway station is approximately 20 minutes.

Cycling
Dedicated cycle racks are available free of charge at the ground. Stewards at the gate will direct any cyclists wishing to use these on the day.
