Result: Durham (149; Parkinson 5/14) lost to Lancashire (151/2; Turner 74) by eight wickets
The Second XI's Trophy campaign looks to be over after an eight-wicket defeat against Lancashire.
After electing to bat first, Neil Killeen's side could only manage 149 all out with Lancashire's Matty Parkinson taking a five-for.
Michael Jones top-scored with 34 but Parkinson helped to rifle through the middle-order, leaving Killeen's men 83/7.
Mattie McKiernan, a former Lancashire Academy player, added 26 while wicketkeeper Irfan Karim made 23.
Josh Coughlin then made 20 & Gareth Breese, drafted in as an emergency replacement on the day after an injury, scored 21.
The total always looked short & even more so after the Lancashire openers raced to 86 inside eleven overs. Calum Turner made 74 from 54 balls with Rob Jones making 17 in a supporting role.
McKiernan added to his five-wicket haul from the Worcestershire victory with the wickets of both trapped LBW.
But the experience of Shivnarine Chanderpaul, included on his return from injury, alongside captain Luke Proctor saw the hosts to victory with overs to spare.
