Durham will hope to maintain their unbeaten record in the second eleven trophy when they face Northamptonshire and Worcestershire in back-to-back away games this week.

Alastair Maiden’s side, who have recorded victories against Nottinghamshire and Unicorns so far, travel to Fineldon Dolben CC to take on Northamptonshire on Wednesday before an 84 mile trip to Kidderminster and a game with Worcestershire the next day (11am starts).

The 12-man squad will be led by captain Calum MacLeod and includes Usman Arshad, third in the list of leading wicket-takers for this season’s NatWest T20 Blast competition.

Fresh from unbeaten scores of 94 and 95 in the recent championship draw with Derbyshire, 18-year-old Jack Burnham is set to feature and two trialists will also make the journey to the Midlands.

Northumberland all-rounder Conor Harvey and Scott Walter, a left arm pace bowler from Queensland, will both be out to impress. Young Benwell Hill prospect Alasdair Appleby will fulfil 12th man duties.

We will bring supporters regular updates from the games on our Twitter page and match reports will be published on durhamccc.co.uk.
