Durham Jets Head Coach Jon Lewis says the team must win all three of their final NatWest T20 group games in order to qualify for the quarter-finals, starting with the trip to Leicestershire Foxes this evening (5.30pm start)
The Jets (7th place, 10 points) are currently four points behind Worcestershire Rapids, who occupy the final qualification place, but Durham have a game in hand.
Only the top four sides in the north division will progress to the quarter-finals and time is running out for the Jets, who face a trip to Lancashire next Thursday before the group fixtures close with a home game against Northamptonshire Steelbacks the following night.
Lewis' side will need other results to go their way, but the former Durham and Essex opening batsman remains hopeful that the campaign won't end next Friday.
"It has to be three wins out of the next three or we haven't got a chance" Lewis told durhamccc.co.uk.
"But if we do get the three wins then we do have a chance, and if we can get to 16 points and keep our run-rate nice and high then maybe we'll get through to the quarters which will be good"
"It'll be great to get to the final home game (v Northants next Friday) with something still to play for"
