Durham First Class Debut - July 2015 vs Hampshire (A)

A powerful batsman capable of batting anywhere in the order, Graham Clark is hoping 2017 finally brings a regular run in the Durham side.

A finger injury midway through 2016 robbed him of any momentum during last season, though he returned impressively during the latter stages of the campaign.

Back-to-back fifties in the final two Championship matches, his maiden half-centuries in first-class cricket, proved Clark can be a force in four-day cricket after previously shining in limited-overs formats.

With backs against the wall at 83-5 in the second innings against Surrey, the right-hander made a critical 54 at number seven to hand Durham the advantage before backing it up with 58 from number four against Hampshire in the season-closer.

Clark had previously burst on to the scene with a scintillating knock of 91 in a T20 match against Yorkshire at Headingley, saving Durham from 11-2. The innings, from 57 balls and including 15 boundaries, showed just what the right-hander is capable of.

The 24-year-old comes from a strong cricketing pedigree, with brother Jordan currently part of Lancashire’s squad while older sibling Darren played Minor Counties cricket for Cumberland.
