In a similar story to Usman Arshad, Jamie Harrison's 2014 season was punctuated by injuries after plenty of early season promise.
The left-arm seamer grabbed five wickets during the Champion County match against MCC and struck a blistering career-best 65 in the opening fixture of the summer at Northamptonshire.
Harrison's season came to a premature end however, with a persistent knee problem forcing him off the field against Somerset in May. Despite a brief return to second team action, more discomfort in his knee meant that surgery was required, which sidelined Harrison for the rest of the campaign.
A player who works incredibly hard on his fitness, Harrison has endured bad luck with injuries over the past two seasons and will hope for better fortune in the coming years.
An attacking cricketer who bowls at brisk pace, the former Sedbergh School pupil showed his great potential during the title-winning season of 2013.
Supporters will fondly remember his maiden first class five wicket haul which helped to bowl Surrey out for just 103 as Durham romped to victory by an innings and 144 runs. That win moved the team up to second in the table, and they would later overtake Yorkshire to secure the LV=County Championship crown.
