Mark Stoneman's record as Durham's limited-overs captain reads - one season, one trophy.
Handed the reigns after Paul Collingwood decided to concentrate on his four-day duties, the hugely talented opener led the team with aplomb and proudly lifted the Royal London One-Day Cup at the home of cricket in September.
Stoneman led from the front and finished the campaign as his side's leading run-scorer in the competition. A century in the quarter-final against Yorkshire at Headingley was a particular highlight and on a difficult pitch, a fluent 52 in the final was also a joy to watch.
The Newcastle-born batsman was one of five Durham players to play in every championship game last season, passed 1,000 runs for the second year in succession and was crowned as the club's batsman of the year.
A career-best 187 arrived against Middlesex at the start of June and he would also register three-figure scores against Yorkshire and Sussex.
His form has now been consistently good for several seasons and Paul Collingwood has urged selectors to take a closer look at the former England Under-19 international.
An attacking, fearless cricketer, Stoneman penned a new contract last January which will keep him at Emirates ICG until the end of 2016.
