Five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians have unveiled their official jersey for the 2026 edition, featuring a bold new design inspired by the letter ‘M’ developed as a repeating pattern to create rhythm and continuity, symbolizing the team’s mindset, mentality, and momentum as they chase their record sixth title.

The 2026 jersey retains MI’s signature blue and gold palette but introduces a fresh aesthetic.

The repeating ‘M’ pattern reflects focus and a forward-driving spirit, transforming a single letter into a unified design that expresses collective strength when the team and supporters come together.

The deep blue captures Mumbai’s energetic spirit while bold, flowing gold waves introduce movement, representing success, victory, and legacy.

“More than a jersey, it is a shared identity, worn with pride by the team on the field and by millions of fans who carry the spirit of Mumbai Indians,” the franchise stated.

Evolution From IPL 2025 Jersey

While the 2025 jersey maintained the iconic blue and gold palette with a focus on trust, confidence, and boundless potential, the 2026 edition introduces a more dynamic visual identity through the ‘M’ pattern, creating a stronger connection between the team’s identity and its fans.

MI’s 2025 Season Turnaround

Mumbai Indians delivered a remarkable turnaround in IPL 2025 after a disastrous 1-4 start.

They secured a playoff spot with a six-match winning streak, finishing with 8 wins. Their bowling attack dominated the league, recording 116 wickets, the most by any team, with Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult leading the charge.

Strategic 2026 Additions

With the lowest auction purse of ₹2.75 crore, MI made a smart acquisition by bringing back former wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock for ₹1 crore to strengthen the top order.

The core of Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, and Tilak Varma remains intact, providing continuity and experience as MI embark on their quest for title number six.
