Mohammed Shami provided Lucknow with the perfect start by removing Prabhsimran Singh for a golden duck in the first over. However, that was the only highlight for the visitors as Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly launched a brutal counterattack.

Arya raced to a 19-ball fifty, while Connolly accelerated after a cautious start to reach his fifty off 35 balls. Moreover, the pair added 182 runs off just 80 balls, the third-highest stand for Punjab Kings in IPL history.

Aiden Markram’s single over leaked 32 runs with five sixes, becoming the most expensive over ever for an LSG bowler in the IPL. Subsequently, Prince Yadav returned with 2 for 25 while Marcus Stoinis finished with a quickfire 29 and Shashank Singh smashed 17 off 6 balls.
