Australia Women maintained their perfect record at Allan Border Field with a comfortable 6-wicket victory over India Women. India struggled to 214 all out despite fifties from Smriti Mandhana (58) and captain Harmanpreet Kaur (53). 

Kashvee Gautam’s aggressive 43 helped push the total past 200. Ashleigh Gardner starred with the ball, claiming 3/33. Australia’s chase wobbled when Shree Charani struck twice in her first over. 

Beth Mooney anchored the response with a classy 76 off 79 balls. Captain Alyssa Healy contributed 50 before falling. Annabel Sutherland remained unbeaten on 42, finishing with a six as Australia sealed victory with 70 balls to spare. The win extended Australia’s remarkable 21-0 record at this venue.

First Innings Highlights

Megan Schutt struck first ball, trapping Pratika Rawal lbw for a golden duck. Shafali Verma struggled to 4 before chipping a return catch to Darcie Brown. Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues attempted to rebuild before Ashleigh Gardner struck.

Gardner dismissed Jemimah caught behind for 8. Mandhana reached 58 with seven boundaries before falling to Tahlia McGrath, caught brilliantly by Alana King at fine leg. 

India slumped to 140/5 as Richa Ghosh departed for 23, caught by Georgia Voll off Sophie Molineux. Harmanpreet Kaur and Kashvee Gautam rescued the innings with a vital 53-run partnership. 

Harmanpreet reached 53 before Gardner took a superb diving catch at deep mid-wicket. Kashvee played aggressively, striking three fours and three sixes in her 43. She was run out in the final over. Gardner finished with 7-0-33-3.

Second Innings Highlights

Alyssa Healy and Phoebe Litchfield provided Australia a solid start. Litchfield struck six boundaries in her 32 before Shree Charani struck with her first delivery, having her stumped by Richa Ghosh. 

Charani removed Georgia Voll next ball for a golden duck, caught at short extra cover. Beth Mooney joined Healy to steady the ship with a 64-run partnership. Healy reached his fifty before falling to Kranti Gaud for 50, caught by Jemimah Rodrigues at backward point. 

Mooney continued her excellent innings, striking five fours and two sixes. She brought up her fifty with a six off Charani. Annabel Sutherland provided solid support as the pair added 86 runs. Mooney fell for 76, caught by Smriti off Deepti Sharma.

Sutherland remained unbeaten on 42, sealing victory with a six over mid-wicket. Australia cruised home with 70 balls remaining.
