The BPL is set to begin on 26th December to 23 January, and throughout its history, the league has undergone numerous changes in its franchises, with teams coming and going across different seasons. The inaugural edition in 2012 featured six teams, while the second season expanded to seven with the addition of the Rangpur Riders.

The league has also faced challenges, including suspensions. Most notably, the Sylhet Super Stars were banned ahead of the 2016-17 season due to disciplinary issues. While the BPL has had its share of ups and downs, including past controversies, the lineup has evolved.

Now, for the ongoing 2026 season, let’s turn to the six participating teams and their squads for the tournament.
