On April 26, 2024, Punjab Kings chased down a target of 262 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders. It was not just the highest run chase in IPL but in T20s as well. PBKS won the toss and elected to bowl. KKR reached a total of 261 runs for the loss of six wickets. Phil Salt and Sunil Narine had a partnership of 138 runs for the first wicket.
PBKS made 93 runs in the power play and remained in the chase throughout their innings. Jonny Bairstow remained unbeaten on 108 runs off 48 deliveries. Shashank Singh made 68 runs off 28 deliveries. The duo added 84 runs for the third wicket in 6.1 overs. PBKS won the match by eight wickets.
2. Sunrisers Hyderabad (246) vs Punjab Kings, 2025
On April 12, 2025, SRH faced PBKS in the 27th match of the tournament. PBKS won the toss and elected to bat. Shreyas Iyer led PBKS to a total of 245 runs for the loss of six wickets. He made 82 runs off 36 deliveries.

On April 16, 2024, RR equalled their highest run chase in IPL against KKR. Sunil Narine made 109 runs off 56 deliveries for KKR and led the team to a total of 223 runs for the loss of six wickets. No other batter managed to score more than 30 runs for the team.
Jos Buttler made 107 runs off 60 deliveries and remained not out. RR chased down the target of 224 runs on the last delivery of their innings. Buttler won the Player of the Match award.
6. Mumbai Indians (219) vs Chennai Super Kings, 2021
On May 1, 2021, CSK faced MI in the 27th match of the season. MI won the toss and elected to bowl. Faf du Plessis, Moeen Ali, and Ambati Rayudu scored a half-century each and led CSK to a total of 218 runs for the loss of four wickets.
