Cricket World Cup @ The Riverside

The 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup is coming to The Riverside & three fixtures will be played in Chester-le-Street during the biggest tournament in cricket!

CWC19 gets underway on 30 May when England face off against South Africa at The Oval, London & concludes with the final at Lord’s on 14 July.

There are 48 matches to be played & three of those will be played in the North East.

  • Friday, 28 June – South Africa vs Sri Lanka
  • Monday, 1 July – Sri Lanka vs Windies
  • Wednesday, 3 July – England vs New Zealand


The pubic ballot is now open & fans can apply for each of the 48 games, including the three held at The Riverisde, via the ICC website.

Tickets for children are available from just £6, with a family of four able to go to selected group games for as little as £44.

The public ballot closes on Wednesday, 29 August & applicants will be contacted shortly after this date to notify whether they were successful in their application.

Any remaining tickets will then be sold on General Sale in September.
