Rajasthan Royals won the toss and opted to bat first, with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal adding a brisk 81 for the opening stand. Sooryavanshi raced to 46 off 28 balls with six fours and two sixes, while Jaiswal contributed 39 off 29 balls.

However, Varun Chakaravarthy turned the match on its head, trapping Sooryavanshi before stumping Dhruv Jurel and bowling captain Riyan Parag for 12. Meanwhile, Sunil Narine removed Jaiswal and Donovan Ferreira in a tight three-wicket spell.
