Yorkshire won the toss and elected to field first against Durham at Riverside this evening.  David Warner and Phil Mustard opened with Deon Kruis bowling the first over from the Lumley End.

David Warner was out for 19 on his Riverside debut after he was caught by Adil Rashid off Tim Bresnan’s opening over, bowled from the Finchale End.

Rashid picked up a wicket of his own after Kyle Coetzer was caught by Kruis on 18.  Phil Mustard top scored with 26 but was caught by Gale off Rafiq, leaving Durham 76-3.

Dale Benkenstein was bowled by Tim Bresnan for 11and Ian Blackwell, who had been dropped on 8, was Bresnan’s second victim after he was caught by Rashid.

Will Smith, who scored 11, was the first of two run outs, Rafiq claiming the captain’s scalp and Tim Bresnan sending Gareth Breese back to the pavilion, having scored 3.

Durham finished their innings with 131 on the board.

Yorkshire lost three quick wickets before the end of the third over, having scored just four runs.  Naved was run out by David Warner, his second in two games, without scoring.  Brophy (1) was caught by Phil Mustard off the bowling of Mitchell Claydon in the second over.  

Gale was run out for just one run in the third over.  Ben Harmison picked up two wickets in his second over, bowling Rudolph for 6 and Bresnan for 3.  He struck for a third time in the following over, with Will Smith catch Michael Vaughan on 18, the only Yorkshire player so far to reach double figures.

Ian Blackwell, who came on to bowl in the ninth over, bowled Pyrah for 5, leaving Yorkshire 46-7.  Gareth Breese struck in his second over when Gordon Muchall caught Shahzad at deep square for 3.  The same combination sent Rafiq (7) back to the dressing room in the sixteenth over.

Durham claim victory after restricting Yorkshire to just 90 runs in their 20 overs.

Durham Dynamos take on Yorkshire Carnegie, looking to follow up their highly impressive victory over Derbyshire.

Coach Geoff Cook has named the same 12 man squad for the encounter, with David Warner set to make his home debut, after his match winning innings of 50 in just 30 balls last time out.
