Minister for Sport joins special forces at Sacriston CC

Gerry Sutcliffe MP, Minister for Sport, Graeme (Foxy) Fowler, former Durham, Lancashire and England opening batsman and players from the Durham CCC Cricket Academy will join the Chester-le-Street Sea Cadets and over 100 volunteers at Sacriston CC for NatWest CricketForce 2009 on Sunday April 5th.

Sacriston CC is one of six clubs nationwide to be nominated by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to showcase NatWest CricketForce; the biggest annual volunteering event in British sport.

Gerry Sutcliffe MP, Graeme Fowler and the Durham Academy players will be at the club from 11am to 1pm and will be available for media interviews. The Division One County Championship Trophy will be on display at the club.

Work starts at 9am and continues all day Saturday and Sunday.
