Notts v Durham – 2XI Championship Day 1 latest

Nottingham won the toss and put Durham into bat first and the visitors went on to post 298 from their 50 overs with the Notts attack only able to pick up three wickets for their efforts.  Captain Kyle Coetzer led from the front posting an unbeaten 149 from 145 balls, which included eight fours and four sixes.   Partnerships with Ben Stokes (54) and Ben Harmison (40) ensured Durham posted a tough target.

The Nottingham line up were bowled out with 8.2 overs remaining with Mitchell Claydon taking 4-45 from his 8.4 overs.  Will Gidman took 2-13 off his two overs, so with Notts just reaching 183 Durham picked up another victory in the one day format.
