Alex Lees

Former Yorkshire opening batsman Alex Lees joined Durham towards the latter end of the 2018 season, signing on loan before the start of a three-year permanent deal to begin in 2019.

Lees made his first-class bow in 2013, scoring a century on debut against Leeds/Bradford MCCU, & scored 275 not out against Derbyshire at Chesterfield in the same year.

Named the Cricket Writers’ Club Young Cricketer of the Year in 2014, the left-hander won back-to-back County Championship titles with Yorkshire & was named as their One-Day Cup captain for the 2016 season.
