Ben Raine

The 2019 season marks a return to the North East for Ben Raine, the Sunderland-born all-rounder who returns to Durham after leaving at the end of the 2012 season.

Raine has since forged a reputation as an explosive cricketer off the back of some exceptional performances for his former county, Leicestershire.

Restricted to just one First-Class & List A apiece for his home county, the left-handed batsman has continued to advance his game in the East Midlands & comes back as a well-rounded cricketer in all formats.

His headline-grabbing moment came courtesy of a scintillating century against Birmingham Bears at Edgbaston in last season’s Vitality Blast. He has surpassed 200 first-class wickets, including more than 50 first-class wickets for the second time in 2018.
