Let’s Be Women

The Durham County Cricket Foundation are working in partnership Cricket without Boundaries to design and implement a 6 week project that uses the game of cricket to tackle social issues young women might come across in their lives and communities.

Let’s Be Women (LBW) project uses cricket to:

  • Empower girls
  • Support girls to discuss and address the challenges they face in their communities
  • Develop supportive networks between girls, communities and local agencies

This learning is deeply entrenched in the delivery of the programme, with all cricket activities linked to key lessons and regular opportunities for discussion and reflection.
The 6 week programme will be delivered in community groups across the North East and in partnership with national charity, The Girls Friendly Society.
