Street Cricket

Street Cricket provides an opportunity for young people within the City of Sunderland to have a go at taking part in the game of cricket. The aim of the project is to promote social inclusion and provide opportunities for young people in diverse communities who may not readily be able to access the traditional game of cricket.

Street Cricket is a format of the game that does not require a lot of equipment, green space or time consuming. It has been designed to suit urban community settings.

The project also includes an end of season tournament based at the Emirates Riverside stadium.
