Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, also called the New PCA Stadium or Mullanpur Stadium, is one of the newest and most modern cricket stadiums in India. It is named after the last Maharaja of Patiala and was built by the Punjab Cricket Association at a cost of ₹230 crore. Since 2024, it has been the home ground of the Punjab Kings and can hold around 38,000 fans, with great views from all sections.

The pitch here helps fast bowlers in the beginning because of good pace and bounce, while spinners become more effective later in the match. The stadium also has a modern drainage system that can remove rainwater in 25–30 minutes, so matches can restart quickly after rain.

How to Reach the Stadiums

Here are all the public transport details to easily reach the stadium.

By Air: Chandigarh International Airport is about 25 km away. Taxis and ride-sharing apps such as Ola and Uber operate regularly between the airport and Mullanpur.

By Train: Chandigarh Junction is the nearest major railway station. From there, a cab or app-based ride service can get you to the Mullanpur stadium in approximately 20–30 minutes.

By Metro: Mullanpur Metro Station is just 1 km away, roughly a 10-minute walk. This is the most convenient option.

By Road: Take the Chandigarh-Kharar road toward Mullanpur. Expect heavy traffic on match days, so leave early.

Tips For Match Day and Ticket Booking

  • If you don’t see Punjab Kings tickets on BookMyShow, it’s because they aren’t available there. Tickets are available only on District by Zomato. Avoid buying from unofficial sites, as fake tickets are common.
  • Tickets usually go live 5–7 days before each home match. Turn on notifications for Punjab Kings on the District app so you don’t miss the sale.
  • Once you start booking, you get about 10 minutes to complete payment. Keep your UPI, card, or net banking details ready to avoid losing your seats.
  • Collect your physical ticket before match day to avoid long queues. Carry your e-ticket confirmation, valid ID, and OTP to the collection center.
  • On match day, carry a government ID (Aadhaar, PAN, or Passport) along with your physical ticket for entry verification.
  • Items such as power banks, professional cameras, large bags, and outside food are not allowed. Fully charge your phone, as your OTP and booking details will be on it.
  • Check for cashback or bank offers on District before paying. You may get discounts on your booking.
  • For matches in Dharamshala, plan your trip well in advance. Hotels fill up fast, and travel in the hills can take extra time.
