The Hundred Women’s 2026 Budget Cap & Overseas Players Rule

The Hundred has introduced significant changes to team-building regulations for the 2026 women’s competition. Each team has an overall salary pot of £880,000. Teams that signed or retained four players during the pre-auction window – Birmingham Phoenix, London Spirit, Southern Brave, and Trent Rockets – have had £360,000 deducted from their budgets, leaving them with £520,000 for the auction.

However, four teams – Manchester Super Giants, MI London, Sunrisers Leeds, and Welsh Fire – made only three signings, giving them greater financial flexibility with just £310,000 deducted and £570,000 remaining for the auction.

Additionally, franchises can now sign four overseas players, up from the previous limit of three, allowing for greater international star power in the women’s competition. This rule change enables teams to build more globally diverse squads and attract top international talent, with players from India, Australia, New Zealand, West Indies, and South Africa already confirmed among the initial signings.
