The league uses a round-robin format where each team plays the others twice, totalling 20 league matches.

WPL 2026 matches will happen at two venues:

DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai

This stadium in Navi Mumbai hosts the opening phase of WPL 2026. Located in Nerul, the ground has a seating capacity of around 45,000 people.
