Perth Scorchers won the 2025–26 Big Bash League title after beating Sydney Sixers by six wickets in the final at Optus Stadium on 25 January 2026. Led by captain Ashton Turner, Perth lifted their record sixth BBL trophy, making them the most successful team in league history. Turner also reached a rare milestone with his third title as captain.

Perth Scorchers: 6 Titles 

Perth Scorchers are the most successful team in Big Bash League history, with six championship titles. Their wins came in the 2013–14, 2014–15, 2016–17, 2021–22, 2022–23, and 2025–26 seasons. The Scorchers also created history by successfully defending their title twice.

They lifted the trophy four times at their home ground, making them the BBL’s fortress team.  Notably, the Sydney Sixers finished runners-up to Perth four times.

Sydney Sixers: 3 Titles

The Sydney Sixers are the 2nd-most successful team in Big Bash League history, having won 3 titles. They lifted the trophy in 2011–12, 2019–20, and 2020–21.

The Sixers made history by winning the inaugural BBL season and later defending their title once. Alongside their championships, they have also finished as runners-up five times, showing regular appearances in finals. 

Brisbane Heat: 2 Titles 

Brisbane Heat have won the Big Bash League title twice, lifting the trophy in the 2012–13 season and again in 2023–24.

Their first title came in the early years of the league, while the second ended a long wait. In addition to their two championships, Brisbane Heat have reached the final once more as runners-up.

Hobart Hurricanes: 1 Title

Hobart Hurricanes won their first Big Bash League title in the 2024–25 season. This victory ended years of waiting for the franchise.

Before this win, the Hurricanes reached the final twice but finished as runners-up both times. After missing out earlier, they finally delivered when it mattered most. 

Melbourne Renegades, Adelaide Strikers, Sydney Thunder: 1 Title Each 

Melbourne Renegades, Adelaide Strikers, and Sydney Thunder have each won the Big Bash League once. The Renegades claimed the title in 2018–19, Adelaide Strikers lifted the trophy in 2017–18, and Sydney Thunder became champions during the 2015–16 season. In contrast, the Melbourne Stars are still searching for their first BBL title, despite being regular contenders.
