The ICC Women’s T20I Challenge Trophy 2026 points table tracks the standings of all five competing teams across the double round robin format from April 18 to May 1. Teams earn 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie or no result, and 0 points for a loss.

Each team plays 8 matches total, facing every other team twice across the 14 day tournament. Net Run Rate (NRR) serves as the primary tiebreaker, followed by head to head record and total wins. The final standings determine the tournament champion with Nepal entering as favourites at ICC T20I rank 21, followed by Italy, USA, hosts Rwanda, and Vanuatu.

Updated standings will reflect every completed match across the Gahanga International Cricket Stadium and Gahanga B Ground.

How Does the Points System Work?

The points system follows standard ICC T20I tournament format with simple scoring across all 20 matches. Every match carries equal weight toward the final standings.

  • Win: 2 points
  • Tie: 1 point
  • No Result (NR): 1 point
  • Loss: 0 points
  • Abandoned match: 1 point shared (same as No Result)

Total matches per team: 8 games (double round robin) Maximum possible points per team: 16 points

What Are the Tiebreaker Rules?

If two or more teams finish level on points at the end of the tournament, specific tiebreaker criteria determine the final standings. The hierarchy follows standard ICC tournament protocol.

Tiebreaker Order:

  1. Number of Wins — Team with more wins ranks higher
  2. Net Run Rate (NRR) — Calculated across all matches played
  3. Head to Head Record — Direct match result between tied teams
  4. Higher Position on ICC T20I Rankings — As of tournament start

Net Run Rate Formula: NRR = (Total runs scored ÷ Total overs faced) − (Total runs conceded ÷ Total overs bowled)

Results table will continue through all 20 matches until May 1.

How Will the Tournament Be Decided?

The tournament winner is determined purely by the final points table position after all 20 matches are completed. There are no playoffs or knockout rounds in this format.

  • No playoffs or finals — purely a league format
  • Team finishing top of the points table wins the tournament
  • Each team plays 8 matches (against every other team twice)
  • Maximum 16 points possible for an undefeated team
  • NRR will be crucial if multiple teams finish tied on points
