The Indian Premier League 2026 has just concluded, and the cricketing world now turns its attention to Harare as India embark on their first international assignment of the post-IPL calendar, a three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe.

India arrive on the back of a historic T20 World Cup triumph, carrying enormous momentum and the swagger of world champions. Zimbabwe, meanwhile, are no longer the underdogs of old.

A stunning 2026 campaign that saw them defeat both Australia and Sri Lanka has transformed Sikandar Raza’s side into genuine contenders, making this a series with far more at stake than its billing might suggest.

All three T20Is will be played at the iconic Harare Sports Club from July 23 to 26, 2026. Get the complete tour information in this article.

Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming series, from the full schedule and squads to streaming details and venue stats.

India Tour of Zimbabwe 2026: Probable Squads

Neither side has named squads for the series. Squads will be announced as the series approaches. Here are the probable squads for the series.

India (Probable Squad)

Suryakumar Yadav (c), Sanju Samson (wk), Ishan Kishan (wk), Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj

Suryakumar Yadav captains a well-rounded side that blends World Cup-winning experience with exciting young talent. Bumrah, Hardik, and Kuldeep bring proven match-winning pedigree, while Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, and Rinku Singh will be eager to carry their IPL form into the international arena.

Zimbabwe (Probable Squad)

Sikandar Raza (c), Clive Madande (wk), Tadiwanashe Marumani (wk), Brian Bennett, Ryan Burl, Graeme Cremer, Brad Evans, Tinotenda Maposa, Wellington Masakadza, Tony Munyonga, Tashinga Musekiwa, Blessing Muzarabani, Dion Myers, Richard Ngarava, Ben Curran

Sikandar Raza leads a side brimming with belief after their recent scalps against major nations. Muzarabani and Ngarava form a formidable pace duo, and Ryan Burl’s leg-spin on Harare’s typically dry surfaces could be the decisive weapon against India’s top order.

India vs Zimbabwe Head-to-Head in T20Is

History heavily favours India in this fixture, though Zimbabwe’s recent form suggests the gap between the two sides is closing faster than the numbers might indicate.

Venue: Harare Sports Club

One of African cricket’s most atmospheric grounds, Harare Sports Club has been the beating heart of Zimbabwean cricket for over three decades and will once again play host to a marquee international series.

Surrounded by jacaranda trees and featuring a beautiful gabled pavilion, Harare Sports Club sits right in the heart of the Zimbabwean capital. It is bordered by the heavily-guarded presidential palace on one side and the prestigious Royal Harare Golf Club on the other.

The ground hosted Zimbabwe’s very first Test match in October 1992 and has since served as the country’s primary venue for both Test and limited-overs cricket.

The main social hub is the pavilion, home to a popular bar, while the opposite end houses Castle Corner, the livelier of the two. The stadium also serves as the headquarters of Zimbabwe Cricket.

A record crowd of 26,000 once watched Rhodesia take on the MCC here in 1956, though today’s typical attendance is far more modest, rarely filling even the standard capacity.
